Functional Grammar Analysis of the Lynn and Coward Song

One of my favorite like assignments that I remember from uni was I did a functional grammar analysis of the Lynn and Coward song story of Isaac. Yeah, and we didn't have a generative wing, it was all functional grammar. So I wasn't exposed to generative linguistics until much, much later. And then after my undergrad, this undergrad advisor of mine, she asked me if I wanted to do a PhD with her in theoretical linguistics. And I thought that would be a good idea.
