How Did Rachel Solomon's Midwifery Training Path Different?
Rachel Solomon's became a midwife in Amsterdam in 1709. We have a manuscript that she wrote in and the cover page, the title page, was actually, it contains a translation of a text that was translated from Dutch into Yiddish. The reason that Rachel Solomon's had this translation of a midwifery treatise rendered into Yiddian from Dutch is because she could not read Dutch.
