Alitleb: I wanted to tell a story of ten age black girls and give it the validity and respect i think our culture doesn't often give teen age black girls. The book is about er, the main character, kiara. And as we read through her journey, what i appreciate it is how you so aptly ecapsulate the experience of many black women,. not just in america, but around the world.
