The Rise and Fall of Latino Focus Shows

There was a real activist impulse that drove many of the Chicano and Neorique and and other Latino producers and white producers also who were interested in working on the programming. You know, but in it did make a difference back then I mean they had they had funding from the Ford Foundation for many of these programs. It turned out the funding dried up for the most part by the early 1970s and so it was a kind of short lived window that had a lot of promise. After that, like different public TV stations have had Latino focus shows ever since.
