Plants Respond to Sound Vibrations
Plants do produce sound vibrations and can respond to sound vibrations. A study found that if you reproduce the sounds made by a caterpillar feeding on a leaf, and then expose those sounds to what's known as a thale cress plant, the plant will respond by producing higher levels of agluco cinilate and antho cenin. Sound is an indicator of nearby pridation. The plant is it is being threatened by thisa thi caterpillar eating sound.
