Powell Doesn't Understand Inflation
Powell said we have to make sure that this wage price spiral doesn't take hold because then the private sector is going to create all this inflation. But Powell wants people to think that inflation is created by the private sector. This spiral between wages and prices that causes inflation. We don't see any evidence of it yet, according to Powell. And the fact that Powell doesn't understand this is just more evidence that he doesn't understand inflation.
