The History of the Great Commission

For many evangelical people or in the evangelical imagination, Jesus is giving to the church, it's basic marching orders. And certainly when we think about making disciples, that's going to begin with some kind of evangelistic effort. In a discipleship process, churches might do this a little bit differently, but it involves teaching. This involves teaching new initiates into the faith theology and how to understand Christian identity.
