Are You Designing the Study to Get Significant Results?

There's other reasons why you might expect to see some more statistically significant results. For example, people design the studies such that they can find significant results in the first place. So it's not a hundred % straightforward to just say, oh, ya, well, we've got a lot of significant results, and therefore it must be specification searching. I think it becomes more credible that it is specification searching if you can say, ya, but it's like a really small band right around significance.
