The golden rule is the central ethical rule of all religions around the world, from most ancient times till now. Treat others as you would have them treat you. It's not how they treat me, how i want to be treated by them. I will treat them like that. Doesn't depend on what they are doing. This is spiritual life. The other thing is dispassion.
