The Dissimilarity of Greek Symposia

There were symposia and other Greek polis. Do we have any idea how dissimilar or similar they might have been? I'm thinking of obviously there was the Truscans. There's definitely a connection with Sicily. We have some references to particularly Cada Boss, the game going on in Sicily. That seems to have a real connection to people.
