The Difference Between the Tides and the Land's Edge

There's an agreed, this is kind of the edge of the land proper. For now, until the ice pack is gone. And a lot of people when I was chatting to them about this, were like, what about the tides? You use the mean high water mark. This is where the land ends. The numbers aren't different because one includes lakes and one doesn't. But yet, if you subtract the water, you don't get the second number. Maybe they're using different resolutions on the map to get those two different numbers. There's actually a whole separate problem, which is it's actually if you're just looking at the length of the boundary of a country.
