Under this definition, the moon isn't made of land. Not until someone does something with it. Land comes before everything humans do or make and is itself a thing no human can make. Since we, unfortunately, are physical beings that take up space, we need some land to do our work on. You personally have a desk with a computer on it that takes up some space.
