The Western view somehow because we this view of control is so ingrained that it sounds as if what you might be saying is that, well, I taught her that but you're not really not. Right. And feeling shame if they do something bad, not again because you feel like you didn't raise her right or you, but because it's your daughter,. You feel connected to her or you know your brother. It's taking pride in a moral way over the good acts of somebody even though neither you nor they would think that you had that kind of control over their actions.
