The Importance of Curiosity in Journalism

I would never understate the importance of empathy, but the quality that comes through most for me when i look at what you write really is curiosity. That's the corner stone upon which the entire discovery brand was built. It's so easy to fall in love with your own smack sometimes. I rarely say anything when i'm interviewing people. I just start talking. And if you take in the surroundings, you are respectful. As long as you are respectful and curious, everyone's got a story. Everyone has a story, and everyone's story is compelling and unique to them - where they are and where they're from.
