The Role of Humility
I wonder if there's a certain humility needed even to be able to open yourself to experiencing something that you don't quite understand. I think our misunderstandings of awe have gotten in the way and we've got a return to it. It's really good for you to find some awe. You can go on a walk looking for awe and you'll enjoy many of its benefits. For me, Gandhi or Tony Morrison, you can listen to music with intention,. And people will start to be like, oh my God, like I love this form of rap because it's about social justice, you know, and it teaches you.
