Predicting Diabetes - How Do You Find the Most Predictive Proteins?

The study looked at 11,000 people who had taken the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test. It measured around 5,000 protein circulating in their blood streams. Three chemicals were found to be most predictive of a person's risk for developing diabetes. The researchers used machine learning to identify these three proteins.
