The Paradox of Emotional Jiu Jitsu
The sooner you can accept a feeling and just be okay with having that feeling, the sooner it will pass. Anything that we fight against tends to linger in our lives as much more long and intensely than it really needs to. Practice giving yourself permission to be sad or lonely or down or whatever it is that you're feeling right now. Just say out loud, I feel sad today and label it and then just try to be okay with that.
