If your dog doesn't even bother to look at the door, like ears up, wagging tail, nothing, that's shut down. To have a complete absence of awareness that somebody just walked in your house is not normal behavior. The other possibility is that the dog has learned that there's going to be some really unpleasant ramifications to expressing how he actually feels inside. And so he does not express how he feels inside. We just have to be honest here about what's causing what.
