Silicon Valley Bank's Bailout

I heard quite a bit of commentary about SBB and people demanding the government do this or that. I know Vivek Rama Swami got in trouble with some of his tech and finance people because he was taking kind of a hard line on it. What was the appropriate position to take on that, in your opinion? I mean, let it fail, would be, first of all, part of the problem with Silicon Valley Bank.
