The big advantage, at least this is what I heard, the big advantage here is that it's all in the grid. So everything is a hexagon. We're just converting everything into these hexagons and then treating them as independent geospatial layers. The ability to convert it back out of hexagons is also very, very important because this is the thing that allows you to do something like transform between the US census geographies to zip codes.
