Teachers and professors are reporting record levels of disengagement right now with their students. There's also a very real post pandemic landscape of kids having a hard time engaging in school. We can't be that surprised that if you disrupt school for one to two years at the level it was disrupted, the kids are going to show up in college looking less prepared than they were.
