I think a lot of the funniest people aren't very happy yeah and that's where they find their funny but I wonder if oh I it's you know those awful things where people say this is more of a comment than a question. It strikes me that the reason you're so robust about this stuff is because of that sort of background of depression and that background of self-criticism. No one can ever say anything to me as bad as what I say to myself, she says. She also talks about how her life has changed since becoming a comedian.
