The Treasure of the Forest
Chipmunk set the drawstring pouch on the small desk where the committee sat with their clip boards and calendars splayed out. She said a silent goodbye, knowing she'd likely never touch it again. The committee members talked amongst themselves as though the rest of them weren't even there. We have determined that this object is nothing more than a hunk of human procured material. It has no qualities that would benefit our forest community, and as such it will be disposed of.
