The Postpartum Depression
"I thought I was going to die. They were going to give me a hysterectomy," she says of her post-partum depression. "There's something so visceral about what happens biochemically ... and the smell of the powder of the diapers didn't make my legs weak anymore." She went off medication cold turkey after an episode that left her on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles. The actress is now working on another book, which will be published next year by Simon & Schuster.
