Jersey Devil

It's interesting how many times people have claimed to see this winged creature that is supposedly larger than a human. It's more of a bat like cree similar to the moth men, really. People also describe it as a gargoyle, pretty much right? And kind of having the horns and the tail. The footprintsis is what gets me. What are these hoofed footprints? They're quite spaced out.
