I like to put a lot of detail in because it gives the whole, gives the atmosphere of the place and the setting. And I think children can see detail, you know, one of my nieces preferred the miniature version of 10 in the bed with all the detail in. It's just weird the way that they have a totally different way of seeing things. So yeah, books that have a certain atmosphere and lots of little details seem to be popular with kids.
