Forgiveness takes you towards the Holy Instant, the present moment, the powerful now moment that releases the mind from time and space. That frees the mind from believing in the cosmos. The holy instant releases the mind from believing in bodies, from believing in separation, believing in differences, believing in hierarchies, from believing in better and worse.
Most human beings have a deep belief in the ego and that there are better and worse. But not the spirit; the spirit doesn't see better or worse. So the Holy Instant is the key to everything. I tell you, if there were smiles in heaven, there'd be a lot of smiles in heaven. All the angels would be standing in ovation. Jesus would be standing in ovation, Buddha, Ramana Maharshi, Paramahansa Yogananda, and every saint in history would be standing up and going, Oh, bravo, I'm with you. So I join you in the Holy Instant because that is the most excellent teaching.
