The History of Erlang at DigitalOcean

When I first joined DigitalOcean, we actually, most of the control plane was written in Pearl. We never got an Erlang there, unfortunately. Do they assume that Beam is like, Beam, like the food? Yes, yes, in fact. Our youngest kiddo pronounced Beam, Beam, for most of the till she was like, A or 9. So yeah, it's a common problem, but you know, they're good dogs and we get a kick out of their names.
