Breastfeeding After Radiopharmaceutical Administration
Iodinated contrast material remains in the maternal GI tract and is considered safe for administration during pregnancy. Therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals generally should not be administered during pregnancy unless there's a life-threatening maternal condition. Several radioisotopes are considered unsafe in pregnancy.
