Planetary Systems in the Solar System
We know that pretty much every star in our galaxy, including all the ones you can see by eye, have planetary systems around them. But once you have a planet, one of the things we're astronomers and non-astronymers alike are most interested in asking is if you can get it to be a living planet. This is interesting whether you want to understand our own history with Earth, or try to predict how often you get life on other planets.
