The Importance of Memory in Computers
I think I first thought about this in relationship to memory, right? So we talk about a computer's memory, and sure, right, it's it stores information. And so the metaphor sort of makes sense, but it is just a metaphor, right? You know, human remembering is a much more complicated, embodied moral thing than the mere storage of information. But then we begin to, at some point we began to think about memory by analogy to the thing we called memory in a computer. And so, yeah, I think that that pattern certainly repeats itself.
