The open-source community fought for years is licensed for the creation. And, so they all went off and did their own thing. The difficulty to me is that look, if you're a company and you are pursuing a commercial endeavor behind a particular project, then more more particularly, if you are responsible for all of the engineering, at the end of the day, you get to pick your license.
