The Importance of Understanding the Domain Before Building a Model
The impact on the models that you build is quite unclear. Even if we're talking about a very specific radiology reports and maybe even for a very specific kind of disease across the different institutes they will have different practices in how to document this report. It's definitely not unique to NLP it's or clinical N LP it's sort of across all of the clinical domain and I think it's just something we sort of have to acknowledge exists.
