"I was too direct with my team about what I thought they were doing well and poorly," he says. "If you're the tired person who's really going to like have a lot of issues with direct feedback, this is not the place to be because you won't enjoy working with me." He adds that his brother would call him Tubby when he gained weight in his twenties or early thirties for being so direct. 'American culture is very different from Indian culture,' Grinn says.
