How Can We Reform Education?
Professor Eric lobe has written an open letter to the editor of The New York Times. He says academics need 'huge winds' from people who can't be subsumed in a sweeping critique that as crashed over academic life. Professor lobe also calls for more focus on teaching and less on research, which is very vogue at the moment. But he concludes by saying there's no reason why anyone should go to college if you don't want to teach.
