Claire, I'd love to understand what we know at the moment about how menopause might play into aging in these age-related risks. We're one of very, very few organisms that have a menopause. And scientists have thought for a long time why that might be the case. Back in the 60s, this hypothesis, a grandmother hypothesis was developed. It says that it's because women can be functionally helpful to their daughters who are child-rearing. But that does not say that there aren't certain challenges that happen as women go through the menopause - usually, average age is 50.
