The Importance of Pattern-Seeking
A lot of people that believe in conspiracy theories, it's linked to this need to have cognitive closure. So you see a pattern and they need to understand why the pattern occurred. Sometimes we can't get it because in science, we can only explain what we understand. You know, there's so much out there that we don't understand. If we don't yet understand it, we don't have an answer to give you. It might make sense to create your own as then you can get that closure.
