The History of Mycenaea
Mycenaean bronze double axes and other objects dating from the 13th century BC have been found in Ireland and England. Egypt could supply gold from Nubia, a wide range of exotic stones for jewelry and ornaments,. Flint for arrowheads, and papyrus which was invaluable for the making of sails and ropes. From Syria and the Levant came attractive textiles and ivory. Cyprus was the great center of copper production. Anatolia provided tin and other metals.
