Is There a Future for Cryptocurrency?

The world we're moving into is a more post individualist world where the groups that we belong to are rising in value. I feel like the layers that are being built now and explored now are about what can we measure or identify and also bring into a cause for an exchange so if someone has been active in the discord for this amount of time can they be rewarded? There's something to that however I also think there are other kinds of projects and other ways of approaching crypto that point to a different set of values.
