How to Convert Short Term Memory Into Long Term Memories

The things you pay attention to, they also then later on go into so-called short term memory. So for example, after this talk, you'll remember quite a lot for the couple days. But some of the information will get lost. And perhaps this information which is not that relevant to you. If we rehearse information and think about it, we're much more likely to send information from short term memory into the long term memory. That process happens in only two occasions, one when we sleep and second when we have so-called completely unstructured time - relaxing or daydreaming.
