In the Gordon Brown period, there were broadly said to be two kinds of voters. Waitrose voters on one hand, and Morrison's vote on the other. I remember speaking at a meeting alongside James Penell for quite a while. He was very high ranking in the BBC after he stopped being a politician. But someone in the audience very angrily asked the question about Iraq. To which this person responded, don't you fucking patronize me? Thus proving that although politicians know a lot about these categories, it's not a good idea to confront people with them.
