A low atom t s 13 is very normal in a sick patient. But that's said it oftentimes will be abnormally low in patients that are critically ill for other reasons. If your lab has the capacity to look at specific factor ves, factor activity levels, then you can kind of make a little logic puzzle out of specific levels. Factor eigt as producing the antithelium completely independent of liver function. Factor seven needs vitam and k for its production in the liver. And so usually i'll send off a factor eight activity level, factor five activity level and a factor seven activity level. These are o sort of each represent those categories i was talking about.
