The Relationship Between Jerome and the Deuterocanonicals
Jerome knew that he was going against the tradition of the church in Christian Bible. He wasn't a Solanus Casey. He loved slaying people's sacred cows and he knew how to debate. Because he could get his word out first, he has an advantage in debate. And that's ultimately why we have the problem later on in the Middle Ages because there was a reaction to Jerome.
