Indian Society Is Far More Individualistic Than Other Societies, Right?
The idea of an individual pursuing her liberty and her imagination has never quite been at the forefront of the movement in indian society. There's a certain kind of kind of loneliness, i think, at that concept. A complex economy does not guarantee freedom but it's certainly enabling one to make changes which is sometimes important normatively by lots of indirect, exoginous changes.
