Is There a Trans in the Account of the High Priest?

In some manuscripts, a definite article is inserted before the greek for high priest. This would make possible the trans in the time of abiathar, the one who later became high priest. The difficulty is revealedby he fact that neither matthew nor luke records the phrase in the parallel passages. So it's at least another possibility, but there are both speculative and real solutions to this problem.
