The Supreme Court's Credibility
When emergency was declared by Indira Gandhi in 75, the Supreme Court was first to succumb. The high courts across the country were upholding fundamental rights. In a very infamous judgment called ADM Jabalpur, held that in an emergency, all your fundamental rights could be waived. So I think the judges probably realized that by virtue of these kind of judgments that they had given due to the emergency, their credibility had been severely dented.
