Fostering Connection in Education

This chapter examines the rising issue of loneliness among students and introduces a new mandatory course at BYU designed to enhance community and personal connections. With small class sizes, the course encourages shared experiences and honest communication, aiming to transform students' educational journeys. Additionally, it explores the integration of spiritual and academic growth, highlighting the dual responsibilities of university leadership in cultivating both rigorous scholarship and spiritual development.
