The Zombie Fires in Siberia
In certain areas, usually up near the Arctic in Siberia and even in Alaska and northern Canada, the ground has a soft surface called peat. And basically it comes from slow decomposition of organic matter over a long period of time. It continues to smolder beneath the surface of the ground.
