There's this notion of be careful about giving a piece of advice because it might not apply to everyone or there'll be different people in your audience with different particular circumstances for which it doesn't apply. So there's a concern about caveating and it's one of the big messages I always preach about doing advice writing is the writer shouldn't caveat, you need the audience to caveat.
