Paul graham's essay on cities is one of the top ten pieces of writing that i've ever read. His basic thesis is that each city that you live in sends you some sort of message. So a city like ala is about fame, D c is about who you know,. Berkeley is about the quality of your life. New york is about how much money you have. Silicom valley is about howmuch power you accrue. In incinetus right now, i would say it's a city that is optimized for quality of life.
We all know that where you live is one of the most important decisions you can make, but it may be more important than you think. And with more people working remotely, there is no more freedom than ever in deciding where you call "home."
In this episode, Steph and Cal discuss how to think about where you should live, why it matters more than you think, and how you can make a decision when it involves two people who have different desires from a location.
